Hey, Jack.

Thanks for stopping by. I'm glad you found us and that you found the post motivating.

I've been there too, in terms of the fear factor. I was dormant for a long time and then just decided to step off the cliff and let the chips fall where they may. I can say I've not regretted the decision once. Although I'm sure the folks over at VISA have. ;-)

Come on by and contribute comments any ol' time. It's good to have you here.

Cheers!

Great Post!

I've recently begun to write again, and i'm really hoping to keep it up on a regular basis. I think what has been keeping me from writing is a mix of both fear and anger, probably more the former though. Fear has held me back from a lot of things I should have done; that's not to say I live my life in fear though. It mostly relates to the uncertainty of business-oriented things.

Thanks for the motivation.

You know, I probably never would have thought of it that way before, but anger has played a role in not writing at times for me. Not going to go into a huge self analysis on your blog comments (saving that for my turn to guest post) but I think there were times when frustration turned to anger and anger turned into cutting off my nose to spite my face.

Part of the growing up process for me in general has been to learn how to channel and use those feelings rather than let them hold me back.

That is the big four letter word. Fear is tough to get past. What you really need is to deal with each unrealistic fear at a time. and 9 out of 10 are unrealistic. even downright silly. I need to walk the talk now...gotta run!

You know George, I think people so often put parameters around themselves that just don't exsist in reality. I can see "I'm not a writer" or "Nobody would buy my book" as being those parameters...how do you know nobody will buy until you try? If you don't think you can write - it's because you've put parameters around yourself where you think it should just come naturally, without any effort or practice on your part --hogwash! If you want to write, then do it, if you want to sell a book, sell it...you never know until you try.

Matt
