I hope you folks like the theme change. It was time to do a little spring cleaning and re-arranging of the furniture at the TM flat. I still have a lot of tweaking to do but overall I’m very happy with the theme.
As always, any feedback is appreciated.
In other news…
- I will release my new e-book this week. Titled The Writing Experience, An inspired guide for aspiring writers, it will be available at Smashwords.com. Watch for the announcement.
- In case you are interested, my upgrade to WP 2.7 went fab. No issues at all using Fantastico at my hosting provider, Hostgator.
- The first issue of the Tumblemoose Times newsletter should be available next week – God willing and the creek don’t rise.
- Later this month, watch for the addition of a Writing Coach package from your friends at Tumblemoose
I think that does it for now.
Thanks to all for being such a faithful and engaging community.

Eeek! How exciting!!! I’m so happy for you, George! All this spring cleaning and upgrading and improving is awesome. Way to go!!
*smiles*
Michele
P.S. The new design is sleek and cool. Feels a little bare, though. Maybe you need a huge comfy chair in the corner with a lamp for reading??? LOL

Hiya George,
Glad the upgrade went well and I’m looking forward to the ebook and newsletter.
In regards to the new theme, I would have to agree with Michele: It does feel a little bare. But sometimes a minimalistic approach is the way forward. It’ll take some getting used to, but it’s less distracting, I think. Overall… I like it!
Matt
I like the new theme. Congratz on the ebook as well.

I’m really liking the new theme. I’m a huge minimalist fan so less is usually more in my opinion. It’s easier to focus on the posts when there aren’t too many distractions going on elsewhere. Good job!

Hi Michele,
Thanks for the feedback! I’m going to spruce it up this evening. White picket fence, red tulips, a few lawn gnomes…
George
Thanks, Matt.
I think it should be pretty sweet once I’m finished.
Got lotsa ideas to make it rock!
George
Johnny,
Thanks for dropping by with the kind words.
I do feel like things are kinda coming together – finally!
Cheers
George
Hi Evan!
When I do the official housewarming, YOU can do the catering, Mr. Man!
George
Hi Cassie,
I’m glad you like it. I do enjoy minimalist stuff, seems to fit the simple man I am.
Thanks for coming by!
George
Sounds good, George. I’ll be looking forward to the addition changes.
Matt
Kush,
You rock, buddy.
Thanks for the good words and thanks for dropping by.

Hey George! I just did a bit of tweaking over at Howls too — great minds think alike and all that 8=) I didn’t go for the radical change that you did since Howls hasn’t been around as long but it’s good to keep things fresh.
This is a nice, clean look and I like how the comments are formatted in this theme much better. I’m not sure what it was with the old one, but it always seemed disjointed and jumbled to me. It was hard to separate the comment from the name and latest post.
George, thank you for the kind comment on my most recent post. I do enjoy the theme change. It has more of a professional writer’s feel to it. When I click on to Tumblemoose, I feel I’m in a sort of exclusive club for ever-improving writers!
Looks like Tumblemoose is moving on up, upgrading, and improving. I’m excited!

Hey Lone wolf,
I appreciate the comments and the drop in. I’ll head on over and have a look at los lobos

Brittany,
I think that is possibly one of the nicest things anyone has ever said about Tumblemoose. Makes me feel great, it does.
Said it before, and I’ll say it again – I love my Tumblemoose Clan!

Hi Tricksie,
Thanks for the feedback. Just remember me when you are on your world-wide book tour – don’t forget to make Alaska one of your stops.

This is great, George — I’m glad the upgrade went well!
I, too, use Hostgator and Fantastico, and I upgraded to 2.7 a couple weeks ago — and it was easy as pie
. I was shocked, because I’d been putting it off for months. Sometimes things AREN’T as difficult or expensive as they seem!
By the way, what’s the plugin called below, which shows the commenter’s blog’s previous posts? I was looking for it yesterday, couldn’t find.
Thanks,
Laurie

Hi Laurie,
I’m glad your WP upgrade went well, too! I also had put mine off for months.
