  1. Hi George,

So you did some tidying up. Hope you don’t mind but I have to say I personally found it better before. Now I think your sidebar is overcrowded with ads. I know just my personal opinion so you don’t have to take any notice. Another little suggestion :-) You might want to move the picture for The Unlimited Freelancer (which by the way I purchased yesterday)down a line, in my browser (firefox)it’s almost overlapping on the Apple store advert.

In relation to The Unlimited Freelancer, I’ve started reading and so far good stuff, not into the juicy bits yet but very realistic writing and plenty of truths listed so far. How did you manage to get on their affilate program. I asked James yesterday via Twitter and he said they weren’t releasing one until next month. If I had of known you were an affilate I would have bought the book from you.

Anyone hope you’re not too put on with my little critique on your housekeeping. I just found that I wouldn’t have actually clicked on your other websites listed at the bottom because I thought they were just more ads. I do click on the adsense though, call it my way of giving back, the Law of Attraction and all that.

Looking forward to your next post.

  2. I’m looking forward to your review of the Unlimited Freelancer book!

I have to agree with Amanda that the ads in the sidebar are a bit much. Would it be possible to change some of them into static buttons? I think it’s not so much the number as the way they are all constantly rolling and changing that is distracting.

Congratulations on becoming Apple store affliate! I did pretty well with the iPods over the holidays and their refurb store is very popular.

  3. Hey Amanda,

Thanks for contributing – I always appreciate your thoughtful dialogue.

As far as the ads go, Yeah, it is kind of a tough balance beam. I agree that they might be too much. Part of the issue here is that while I love the look of this WP theme, placement of objects is cumbersome at best. For example, I can’t for the life of me figure out how to get the Unlimited Freelancer ad to move down a smidgen and over a bit (to be more centered). No one’s fault other than me not having the HTML/PHP/CSS skills. Same goes for the large space between the large google block and the unlimited freelancer. Can’t figure out how to make that space go away.

I have been frustrated by my sidebar since the inception of TM. I did try the Myadmanager plug in but it didn’t work very well for me.

Hey, on the plus side, I DID figure out how to increase the size of the letters for my Tag line in the header!

As far as the affiliate with UF, I already was a member with e-junkie so it made it pretty easy. I did have to steal the image from the MWP site and plug in the ejunkie affiliate code stuff.

Any-who, Thanks for the feedback about TM. I kinda think it will always be a work in progress..

  4. Hey Tracy,

Yeah, I do think some clean up work is still in order. I’ll add it to my (yikes!) list for today.

Thanks for the feedback and the confirmation!

    Cheers

  5. Hi Barbara,

Thanks for coming by and yes, I do enjoy re-arranging the furniture now and then.

How are things with you? I’m seeing you at Twitter a bit – good on you!

  6. Hey George,

    looking good!

I’m not familiar with this theme but try adding at the beginning of your ad code then close it with for space before or after use

I have a touch of ocd when it comes to center or spacing..can’t sleep.
