“The Writing Experience… offers the beginning writer down-to-earth and proactive advice for how to start—and succeed—in writing. Dozens of clever writing prompts are guaranteed to get your pen or keyboard moving!” – Maria Schneider, former Editor of Writer’s Digest magazine and Chief Purveyor at Editor Unleashed
It’s a big day over here at Tumblemoose. I’m happy to let folks know that this morning my e-book The Writing Experience – An inspiring guide for aspiring writers has been published and is available at Smashwords.
This e-book has been a long time coming. The subject had been a tickle in my brain for several months and it seems that I just never got down to the business of writing the darned thing.
When I decided to finally sit down and write the book, I had envisioned a little ol’ ten pager with a few tips. After hitting nearly 20 pages with just two or so chapters done, I had to re-think things a bit.
The final edition ended up being 45 pages.
There are chapters on setting up your writing routine, revising and marketing your work and conquering your writing fears. Other chapters include writing exercises and prompts.
At the end of each chapters are links to related posts here at Tumblemoose. The material in The Writing Experience is not just a rehash of what I have written previously. Each chapter takes a fresh approach to the topic.
The book is available for purchase and immediate download at Smashwords. The cost is $10.95. When you go to the site page for The Writing Experience you can view 25% of the book for free before deciding on a purchase.
When you view the book in HTML at the site you may notice a formatting bump or two. Not to worry. The .pdf and other versions for download preserved the original intended formatting.
Once you have purchased the book, please feel free to get in touch with any questions or feedback. I’d love to hear from you.

Congratz on the release of your ebook. What made you pick smashwords?

Hey Kush,
Sorry for the delay in responding, Your comment ended up in moderation for some reason.
I went with Smashwords because of their ease of use, and they seem to be Author and Reader friendly. So far, so good, too. If you’ve got an ebook, I would absolutely recommend publishing there.
I did a detailed review on the site in a previous post last week if you want more info on smashwords.
Cheers!
I looked it over. This is the perfect place to sell my poetry ebook that I am writing.

Man, you really went to town…too many eBooks out there are 5-10 pages long, and just a reprint of what’s on the blog…and they charge $25 bucks for them!! Sounds like you are really giving us a “book” of helpful advice, I’m on my way to check it out now.
