Good Monday, folks. I’m proud to have a guest post this morning from Wayne Long from over at Long Short Stories. This guy’s a pistol! Careful…
Take it away, Wayne!
Greetings, Tumblemoose readers!
My name is Wayne C. Long and I am an award-winning professional writer of adult short stories. When I was asked by my StumbleUpon friend George Angus to be a guest on his terrific blog, www.tumblemoose.com, I must say, I was quite flattered. Thank you, George!
From the looks of his Conan the Barbarian look-alike photo avatar on the SU social-networking Web site, I knew that George was not someone you refuse!
(By gosh, Aunt Martha, that is a kilt!) So here goes, George.
I am the writer/editor/Internet publisher of a unique Web site called LongShortStories. Launched in June 2007, LongShortStories’ URL www.LongShortStories.com has quickly gone global, fostering the miniature masterpieces of the short story form and welcoming appreciative short story writers and readers into an ever-widening circle of friends.
LongShortStories offers its grateful readers One and Two-year subscriptions (30 and 60-story collections respectively) to the best in adult short fiction, which is released every 12 days via e-mail attachment in PDF format. These stories cross all fiction genres and have elicited very appreciative reader feedback, as you will see.
In addition to purchasing subscriptions, visitors to LongShortStories can read Free Samples, check out my author bio, see What Readers Are Saying, order a Pay-Per-View story or two, or dive into the shimmering waters of Wayne’s Blog, where many wonderful Spotlight stories, written by writer friends and contest winners alike, can be found. My own writing philosophy and its sources of creative inspiration are also explored there.
New to the LongShortStories Web site in 2009 is a Donations feature, where individuals and corporate supporters can contribute financially to the ongoing maintenance of this worthy worldwide cause – fostering the short story form – as well as to support the two contests with cash prizes for First, Second, and Third-place winners.
Speaking of Contests, I wish to invite everyone in the Tumblemoose community to click on our New Contests button, to find the rules and the nice cash prizes for not one, but TWO great 2009 LongShortStories Short Story Contests. We are looking for ORIGINAL, UNPUBLISHED adult short stories that will knock our collective socks off!
Is that YOU?
Send your best work in today. I look forward to reading your entries!
LongShortStories – where the short story LIVES!
OK, George, that’s a wrap. Can I go out and play now?

What a neat idea for a site! I will have to check it out more thoroughly later.
Tracy´s last blog post..Nutella and Go!
Sounds fantabulous! I gave it a stumble to help spread the word.
*smiles*
Michele
I wanted to thank my buddy George again for helping me expand the gene pool of those first learning about LongShortStories and its TWO great adult short story contests in 2009. Incidentally, I’ll be putting up four more amazing short stories for my subscribers this week.
It would be my greatest pleasure to welcome you into my global readership family.
Thank you Tracy and you, too, Michele, for your excitement about what LongShortStories can do for you. Welcome to my world!
Who wants to win our Contests?
Is it you?
Or you?
Or you?
Don’t delay entering! The early bird(s) will definitely get the worm(s) er … consideration for the three cash prizes!
