How do you know how many people shop at indies? I know a lot of the readership here does, as do I. Are you saying there is not room for both? If so you are living in a sad, sad cave. I love books and have quite a collection as most serious readers do. With that said, I can read the writing on the wall and I am willing to embrace the direction rather than whine about it. As well, ebooks have allowed authors to operate on an "indie" basis and get published. This was unheard of even twenty years ago. So, are you saying that indie is only good for book stores? Every once in a while I like to read a classic, except with this one I keep picturing Robert Downy Jr in the lead role!
