Earlier this week I was one of the lucky recipients of the Beautiful Blogger Award. Thank you so much, Ganymeder! I am most humbled and proud to receive this honor.
The terms of acceptance include disclosing seven things about myself. My parole officer is on vacation this week so you can’t contact him. Guess I get to list them on my own.
- I’m an excellent read-out-loud guy. When I sub at the children’s libraries and read a book to the kids, they are absolutely enthralled.
- I’ve been to Russia twice, when the cold war first ended.
- I once rescued a struggling pelican from the surf. Removed the fishing line tangled around it’s wing and swam it out past the breakers.
- I’m totally addicted to Diet Rock Stars. Often drink two of the big cans at a sitting.
- I’m a woman. Oh, wait. That silly thing has already been done.
- If there were a SonicBurger joint in Alaska, I’d be as big as a house.
- I’m trying to learn to play the bagpipes.

I do live a very quick drive from a Sonic and they have half price happy hour every day from 2-4 – do you know how HARD I have to work not to go there every day before or after picking my 2nd grader up from school.
Not to mention the Chik Fil A with peach shakes practically across the street from his school.
