I really am a lucky guy. Ever since Barbara over at Blogging Without a Blog trusted me with the New Blog of The Week, I’ve had the opportunity to view some great sites. Oh, trust me I’ve viewed a stinker or two as well. But most are pretty neat. The latest blog is one I came across while perusing the comment section of a blog. The name caught my eye. I thought, “Oh, this looks like fun.” I think I was right. This one is a lot of fun.
I’m not going to wax poetic too much because I want you to hurry through my post and go check out her blog. Look at this list of recent post titles and you will see why I’m so tickled about this blog:
- Random Acts of Kick Arse: Update
- Jane Makes Me Feel Warm and Loving
- How to Not Blow Up Your Blog in Disgust After Three Months
- Of Defection and Lemonade
Great posts that match the great titles.
The writing is wonderful. She writes like she speaks, I’m sure. She has found her writer’s voice and is putting it out there.
The New Blog of the Week is:

Hi George,
Have you ever started your day expecting more of ‘the usual’ then been knocked out of your chair?
Have you ever attended a surprise party in your honor?
Have you ever been been awakened by a spouse unexpectedly with breakfast in bed?
Well, that’s what happened to me this morning when I opened my blog and saw Michele’s comment that she migrated to my site from tumblemoose.com.
It was like a good shock, surprise party, and breakfast in bed all rolled into one. I’m not quite sure what to say other than I’m humbled by your post. I’m sorry that I didn’t see this until today – please accept my humble apologies for being a tad late to you post.
I love Barbara’s site – and your taking over her blog-of-the week duties says a lot about your character. I love finding new sites, I am looking forward to adding your site to my RSS feed, and to seeing the blogs of the week you happen upon.
Thank you!!!
Graciously,
Lori

Did I hear my name? Here I am.
Yes Lori, George has done a fabulous job of picking up the torch and finding great blogs. I’m so happy he found yours, too.
This blogging things is just the greatest. Not only do we get to learn by reading other peoples blogs, but we get to learn more about who’s behind them. To me, that’s the bestest part.
Bloggers rock!
Congratulations Lori! I heard George is mailing out your tiara real soon.

Lori,
You made it really easy. I am so stoked that this pleased you. When I got to your site, I knew in an instant that I had to showcase Jane being all Nimble an a’thing.
Thanks for your kind words as well. I am so humbled that Barbara has trusted me with her child.
Cheers!
George
Oh, great find! Lori is *awesome*! She’s smart, funny, witty…perfect. I love that woman to bits! The thing that I love most about JaneBeNimble is that Lori knows so much stuff…she’s an expert in so many areas…and she writes about it all. That means that you can learn just about anything you ever wanted to know. But she is also really personable, and so her site isn’t stuffy and academic, it’s fun and relaxed. In short, she’s like one of those really cool teachers that you had in high school…the ones who made learning interesting and fun.
Congratulations, Lori!! Once upon a time, I was one of Barbara’s “New Blogs of the Week”. It’s great to have you here with us!
Wow, Jay, I’m not quite sure what to say. I’ll start with THANK YOU!
George, I think your post here caused me to be speechless for the first time in my life. I usually am a motor mouth. (lol)
Jay, your site is sooo awesome and I remember when Barbara called you out. So, yes, I agree. To be included in the same world as Jay and Michele is truly an honor.
(See me bowing in respect and gratitude…)

Hey Jay,
Remember that? I’m so happy I had found you in blogosphere, and now wherever I go, there you are. Sweet!
Maybe one day we should have a reunion of all new bloggers of the week.
@George, do you have room at your place? Let me see, I showcased 90 and so far you have 9 (and counting), so you only have to have room for 100++++. Whacha think?

Ha you found Lori! George I know her and how great that you do now too.
We all knew you had great taste, now you proved it.
AND Lori, I am one of you as well to keep the record straight. I said he had great taste

Jay,
I remember how floored when I got this little email from Barbara suggesting that I go have a look at a surprise she had for me. At first, I was confused. “Wha? Huh? Holy S**T!”
Tis a mah-velous club for sure.
George
Wilma!
So nice to see you! I am so digging all the recipients coming by and encouraging this.
Lori is truly a gem and I – ahem – DO have great taste, if I say so myself. LOL
George
Lori, Well speechless just won’t do!
Let me know when you’ve got your voice back and come on over here and write a big ol’ fat guest post!
George
Hey, sounds good! Thanks for the invitation. I’d be honored to write a guest post for you, George! I’ll be in touch…

.-= Lori´s last blog ..The Webs We Weave =-.
Barbara,
I’m all about having a hundred or so of my closest friends over for a re-union.
We can call it the BWAB BYOB Bash.
I’m on it.
George
Hey, I don’t want this party to end! I’m steeped in happiness!
Maybe we can keep this going at least until I get the tiara Barbara told me George was sending me.
George, let me know where I can send you my address so you can get it in the mail pronto. (Ha! Joking!! I’m laughing right now…)
And hey, Wilma, thanks for setting the record straight! OK, it’s official, George has good taste. YES HE DOES!
Thanks for the party today, lads and lassies. I really appreciate it and will be looking forward to seeing you all around very soon!

.-= Lori´s last blog ..The Webs We Weave =-.
Lori,
You can have my Tiara as soon as I’m done sascheing around the living room with it. In my kilt.
Uh-oh too much information. This is me bowing out gracefully…
George
George, I think that’s the most impressive thing you’ve said all day.
I takes an amazing man to admit he’s comfortable in both a kilt and tiara. Well, you didn’t actually say you were comfortable, but sascheing does require a certain about of inner comfort.
.-= Lori´s last blog ..The Webs We Weave =-.
Hi Lori,
George used to have a picture on his blog of him in a kilt.
@George Can you post that again for Lori’s benefit? I’m sure no one else will see it.

Done! No Tiara though.
George
Oh, man, George, please don’t remove the photo of you in a kilt.
I love it!!!!!!
PRICELESS!!!
THANK YOU!!!

Aye, Lassie.
Cheers!
An Alaskan guy in a kilt? It’s a topsy-turvey world!
