  3. Hi George. What a wonderful post. Although many people are having problems with Christmas this year due to the economy, your article has shown that there is still good things that are happening if you remain a positive attitude. Thanks for writing this and I’m glad miracles has happened to you this Christmas. :)

    • Merry Christmas to you Hulbert, and thank you for stopping by. It really does speak towards the power of being positive in your day to day life. I feel very blessed.

  4. Merry Christmas, George and Maddy! And Happy New Year too!

Let me say that one of the BEST gifts I received in 2009 was your friendship, George!

You’re one of only a few wordsmiths I know that cares more about others than themselves. That’s a foundational trait for a great writer, George. And when you factor in Maddy, you are TRULY blessed, my kilted Alaskan brother!

May you continue to prosper and grow in stature in this shared thing we call writing!

Who knows, George, maybe one day I’ll see you on “Alaska State Troopers.” They could use a good role model like you!

    Cheers from Wisconsin!

    • Merry Christmas Wayne!

You are one of my treasures. I get a gift from you each month in your stories that spark inspiration and entertain.

It is I who is fortunate to have a friend like you, Wayne.

I know that we are going to have a great 2010.

      Cheers

    • Hi Jan, and Merry Christmas to you, too.

I’m telling ya, that whole apostrophe correction thing had me in stitches. Heck, I didn’t figure out apostrophe use until about six months ago. Hehe.

      Cheers

    • Grey,

Merry Christmas to you and I’m glad you stopped over and commented. I spent a little time on your web site and it looks fantastic. Marked it as a place I need to go visit a bunch!

      Cheers

    • Judy,

Hehe. That would be a good moral too. Good thing I was wearing my sequined long johns underneath. Hmm, maybe THAT’s why I got the stares!

      Merry Christmas to you.

      George

  6. I enjoyed the story and appreciate the message in the lesson learned. You, in turn, offered others an opportunity to bestow a good deed. Good Karma generates more good Karma and and so it goes round and round.

    • Hi Bette,

Nice to see you here. Thanks for the good words about Karma. I’m a big believer in that.

Hope you and yours have a wonderful new year.

      George
