The inspiration for this list of gift sites stems from a visit to Inkygirl this morning. Her site with the subheading of “Daily Diversions for Writers” is one of the first web sites for writers I’ve seen that is so much more than the standard “how to write” sites. She has a large section and archive on gifts for writers.
With Christmas right around the corner, it seems timely to put together a list of places to find great gifts for the Writer in your life.
- Inkygirl – Well, of course this is the first one on the list. Thanks for the inspiration, Debbie!
- Cafepress – Simple themed gifts including the standard set of t-shirts, hoodies, coffee mugs and other cool things.
- Shakespearsden – Eclectic and cool. Journals, pen and quill sets, writing instruments, seals and sealing wax, literary action figures (!) and literary jewelry.
- Writer’s Helper – I absolutely love this one. Short on cash? Give your writer some of the most precious gifts of all.
- The Writer’s Life – Cute set of “Ask me about my book” items and other goodies
- Ninth Moon – Just going to this site left me inspired and relaxed. An extremely unique set of gifts for writers. Do yourself a favor. Check this one out.
- Freelance Success – It’s primarily books, but keep scrolling down to find other cool writer’s gifts.
- The Professional Collection – Handsome pen sets, special mugs. Classy stuff
- Nostalgic Impressions – A huge selection of very cool writer gifts. Quills and caligraphy and other timeless gifts to please your Writer.
- Once Written – A fine little selection of things you may not have considered before to give as gifts.
This is just a sampling, to be sure. What say you? Do you have favorite gift sites when shopping for your writer friends. Also, What is the best or most unusual Writer gift you ever received?
