Wow, I can’t believe that 2009 is drawing to a close and we’re on the cusp of 2010 already. 2009 was such an exceptional year for Tumblemoose Writing Productions I’m goin to hate to see it go!
Here’s a recap of the highlights:
- I started the year by winning the Men With Pens Sticky Site contest. That really got me supercharged and focused on doing all of the things I needed to get Tumblemoose up to Flag Ship status. Thanks again, MWP!
- As a lot of folks predicted, Twitter really taking off in 2009 was a boon for me. My strategy of selective following, daily tweets and interactivity paid big returns in terms of traffic, and more importantly it allowed me to develop relationships with some great people. Thanks to all – I love my Tweeple!
- My goal of posting every single day at Tumblemoose was kind of a double edged sword. The amount of work and devotion needed to post fresh content every day was grueling at times, but the rewards have been immeasurable. When I look back and think about all of the tips on writing and all of the wonderful comments I know it was all worth it!
- I am completely amazed that my RSS subscribers reached the 1000 mark in November. It seemed like I was stuck on 15 for like, forever! Thanks to all of you subscribers and hold on to your hats for 2010, it’s gonna be a doozy!
- Turning the corner with my Adsense income really has made a huge difference in my ability to pay for some of the things needed to keep Tumblemoose at it’s very best. The new web design by Web Design Servers pushed my site asthetics and functionality into a whole new realm. Thanks WebDesi3!
- On a personal note, finishing my first novel was a most incredible feeling. I know there is still a lot of work to do but I am supercharged ready to do it!
These are just them most remarkable of the achievements I’ve made in 2009. How was yours? Did you accomplish all that you wanted? I hope so, and here’s to an outstanding 2010!

Now THAT is what I call a fine kilt. Also, am most thrilled by your kind comments on my blog. May I respond in kind by congratulating you on completing your first novel – it’s an amazing feeling, isn’t it?! I’ll be delving deeper into your thoughts and suggestions about writing and have a feeling that your site will be a constant source of inspiration and fun for me in 2009. Cheers mate, and happy writing!

Hi Justine,
So glad you stopped by! I really did get a lot from your blog post – quite a good read. I’m looking forward to engaging in 2009, I know we’ll have a lot of fun!

George,
You are a man of great vision.
I am still struggling with actions required to accomplish my blogging goals. A little different from my brick and mortar business.
ex: I want 500 RSS readers. Okay, what actions do I take? I guess I am not sure what I really want from my blog, what is most important.

I’m kinda confused here. I think you’ve got your years a little confused.
Shouldn’t it be 2008 year in review not 2009?
